There's gonna be a little rain sometimes...
These clouds are knitted with two strands of yarn at once, blue and white. Originally, it’s a pattern for a cushion, I found in the (Dutch) book "breien en haken met dikke naalden", by Hanna Charlotte Erhorn. I think it’s a very rewarding pattern and liked knitting with two strands of yarn a lot.
For each cloud, two pieces have been knitted flat and then sewn together and filled with leftover bits of yarn and very small textile scraps.
The left cloud has glass beads (one blue, the rest transparant) for raindrops. The right cloud's are opal.
They hang, as mobiles, in our parents' houses.

The constant happiness is curiosity
This bag is made from an old organic sweater. It is lined with some fabric from my mum's stash. Inside I made a small pocket for a phone. the stack of books and the bird on the teacup are made with machine embroidery. I also embroidered a saying by Alice Munro :"the constant happiness is curiosity". I love that saying, it is so true. I could do with some practice on the hand-embroidery though...Nevertheless, the bag made my mum (it was a present for her) very happy, her being an avid reader.

A sweater becomes a scarf
A sweater of mine, nice ecological cotton, but very worn, has become this admittedly slightly eccentric scarf.
I cut the sweater in long pieces (incuding the sleeves) and sewed them together. Then I went crazy with embroidery and small pieces of fabric, all in according colours. The scarf, it's cotton, feels a bit stiff, but the colours, I think, are a succes.

Sander's Rabbit
This is the rabbit I knitted for my nephew. And here is the link to the free pattern : https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/henrys-rabbit
I loved making this, it was neither difficult, nor boring. The only thing I found a little harder was placing the eyes (needle felted) on the right spot, so the rabbit would have a nice and realistic (not scary or childish or rather stupid) snout.
The yarn I used is Rowan Creative focus worsted. This yarn has a soft feel but is also a bit rustic. Ideal for this project I think. I would not use it for a scarf, too prickly for my liking. And it looses fibre once knitted, like a real rabbit, I guess....

Start to spin
I started on a spinning course, how very exciting ! It is given by Wolboerderij (woolfarm) Blij Bezuiden in Koewacht (the Netherlands). It's totally new for me and I find this craft magical, though not very easy. I think spinning, when I've gotten better at it, is going to be relaxing (and will hopefully result in lots of great unique yarn!). This messy stuff is my first bobbin selfspun, I'm sooo proud !!
